Changes

The biggest change that needs to be made in the school system is availability of choices to allow a student to delve deeper into the topics that interest them. The school system currently has strict requirements that force kids to take classes in topics that might not interest them. Kids need more freedom to study want they want, in order to make school more interesting and better prepare them for future jobs. Forcing a student to take a math class who wants to become a writer for a newspaper or magazines, is not an efficient use of their time and energy. Not only is it a waste of time but the student will most likely be unhappy in the class and get a negative outlook on school and learning. If kids were allowed to study topics that interested them then they would be more excited to come to school and more likely to seek some form of further education once they graduate. Of course a student that does not know what they want to do can still take a variety of classes, but if a kid knows they want to work in a certain field, they should be allowed to focus on that field.
