Reading manuals

I hate taking the time to read any sort of manual. I would much rather prefer figuring out myself how stuff works and how something fits together. Not necessarily the most efficient way to build or install something, but I hate taking the time to sit down and read something for a project that is already going to take me a while. This might be due to the fact that I have a low level of patience for things that I don’t particularly enjoy doing, such as installing something or putting something together. And yes, I do these things by myself because my Dad thinks doing things like assembling a bookcase, and mounting a shelf are both life skills. This topic happens to be on my mind because I have recently been redecorating my room, hence the references to the shelf and bookshelf, both of which are now sitting in my room fully assembled and mounted quite well.
