I have always wanted to build a Tesla Coil. I have always liked building things whether it be with legos, blocks, sticks and rock, or circuitry. It's something about creating a machine or process that I can say that I made has always appealed to me. I enjoy taking things that I learn in textbooks, school, and online and actually applying them into reality in order to learn more about them and how they function. So as the more complex the machine becomes, the more pride I take in its creation and construction. The Tesla Coil has always been that one machine that I wanted to say I built because not only is it a extraordinary and complex machine, but also because its something that I, for some reason, really want to know how it operates and works and until I actually start building it, I don't think I will. Unfortunately, the components to the machine are somewhat dangerous, at least for my parents, and I'll have to be patient and wait until I have move out of the house to begin construction.
