The one goal I have set for my high school career (besides graduating, or as I like to put it, finishing my prison sentence) is centered around academic team. Before I state my goal I would like to say that I, like Barrett and Cullen, am whole-heartedly focused on winning the state championship in quick recall. However, as this is a blog about personal goals, I do not believe that could be considered a true goal. Instead, I will say that my major goal before I finish high school is to place at the state level in social studies for academic team competition. This will not be an easy goal to achieve, however with a lot of dedication and hard work (and just a bit of luck) I am confident that I will be successful in my endeavor.
College Goal:
For my years at university, I have set two goals; one unrealistic and the other realistic. My unrealistic goal, which is nothing more than a whimsical wish, is to join an indie pop duo band. My reason behind such a goal is that many of my favorite musical acts, including MGMT, Vampire Weekend, and Ratatat, were formed during their college years. It would be a great achievement if I were able to do the same, and even better yet if I could garner some semblance of fame. My realistic goal is a complete 180 from my other one. I simply want to graduate with the degree of my choice.
Before-I-kick-the-bucket goal:
I have many goals set aside for my after-college years. These include writing a novel, traveling the world, designing a fashion line, and many other clichéd ambitions. I do, however, have one goal that I have set above the rest. To save a person's life. I have always thought that doing such a thing would be a noble action, and more importantly awesome. There's nothing quite like cheating death and helping someone at the same time.
