Nick is not a newcomer to the field of table-sharing with Ryan. In fact, he's a pro. We've had many an adventure/argument in our careers as seat partners, particularly last year, in Mr. Holloway's class (time allowed for such escapades often, if you will). We've talked philosophically and thoughtlessly, about the divine and the mundane, killing people and killing time. Our conversations have ranged from heated debate to joyous laughter with our ideas laid out on the table alongside our lunches.
Never will you find a more extensive knowledge of comic books and the characters and stories to be found in them. Many a time has he corrected what I thought to be my knowledge of the Batman universe. In fact, he, through his generosity in letting me borrow Batman: Arkham Asylum for Xbox 360, has gotten me interested in the Dark Knight's lore (incidentally, he has also made me $60 poorer, as the sequel recently came out, and temptation got the better of me). It is refreshing, though, to have an affable seat partner who has a mutual appreciation for gaming. That's not to say that we haven't had our conflicts on the matter. No, Nick, Pikmin is not better than Zelda, and it is sinful to say as much. In the grand scale, though, we tend to agree. We're both libertarian, atheist, somewhat reserved, Academy students.
All in all, it is a great experience to have such a good friend with a last name that starts with "P." Nick, I love ya, man, and you have my utmost respect.
