Barrett Block

I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m a tad jealous of Barrett Block, because honestly, who isn’t? Seriously, if I didn’t know any better, I’d think he was a demigod. Well, not really. But still, all jokes aside, Barrett is a pretty perfect guy. I mean you just have to talk with him for a couple of minutes to know that he’s a man like no other. And throughout the many years I’ve known him, Barrett has proven to be a person to look up to. He’s a man with intelligence, integrity, and work ethic. For these reasons I’m very thankful that I’m his seat partner.

Barrett might not be a demigod, but he sure looks like one. For one, his bronze skin radiates with a healthy glow that is second to none. And his teeth, my gosh his teeth are perfect formations of calcium. They are as white as the freshly fallen snow of winter and they shine with a luminescence only comparable to the stars in the night sky. Seriously, I think that he could brighten an entire room void of light by just smiling. Over the top? Definitely. True? Of course. And if you’re not blinded by the brightness of his teeth, you’ll be able to appreciate his topnotch fashion sense. His style is so clean and impeccable that it makes most men’s dress pale in comparison. His clothes, watches, and shoes are always kept in the perfect condition and are always appropriately matched. His hair itself should be regarded as a fashion accessory due to its freshness.

As we all know, Barrett is pretty much a genius. Honestly, I have yet to meet another person who is as smart as he is. Sure, someone might be better at a particular subject than he is, but no one I’ve met is as good at everything as Barrett is. He’s the guy that is as equally adept at chemistry as he is with medieval European history. The guy that can answer a complex calculus problem with ease and then switch directions and write the best damn essay you’ve ever read. And this is why he’s such a beast on the academic team. Really, Barrett is the heart and soul of the team. Without him our record would not be 6-0, but rather most likely something like 4-2. And what is even more remarkable about him is that he doesn’t give up. Sure, he’s smart enough to go through school and make a 4.0 without studying, yet he doesn’t. He works as hard as he can to better himself. His drive is unyielding and for that reason he will be very successful in his endeavors. I am well aware of how cliché it is to say someone like Barrett will be a leader, however I am going to say it anyway. I really see Barrett becoming a great politician someday with the hottest and sweetest wife by his side.

Wow. Looking back on this, it sounds incredibly cheesy. However cheesy it may sound, though, I still believe it is true.
