It's not embarrassing unless you care what people think

Hi, I’m Silvia. Most of my friends call me Silv, but for someone with just 6 letters in their name, I’ve received a lot of other nicknames (to name a few: Silvius, Silvester, Silvi-ayy, Soviet Union (?), Smilvia Smadashmescu, and Silvy). Honestly I don’t care what someone calls me, as long as they have something meaningful or nice to sayJ. Although I’ve had classes with roughly the same people for the past two years, the majority only know basics about me (such as I play soccer and tennis for HC, I grew up in NY, my obsession with books, who I’ve been dating, I can speak fluent Romanian (although I’m still in Greek School… haha), I have the same birthday as Abe Lincoln, I <3 parties, I’ll eat practically anything (within reason), I LOVE traveling, I hate wearing make-up to school, that I’m the co-founder of BOOK CLUB!!!!!! (whoot whoot! All of you should join!), and I’m student body vice-president (thanks everyone for the votesJ)) But, since this is a great opportunity to put myself out there and let y’all (yes, I said it. Even we New Yorkers can use southern lingo) know a little more about me, here goes.

Some of the things that are not common knowledge: I like to smell books, I have severe needle phobia (ah the irony, considering that both of my parents are doctors), I don’t like it when people bite their nails or girls are cake-faced (meaning they put so many layers of make-up on their faces that it defeats the purpose of making you look more attractive), and I really like to cook.

This summer I went to Spain and Romania for a couple of weeks, and then went to Chicago for another week and a half. Even though I didn't hang out very much with my friends here, it was still quite productive in the social sense because I met people from all over the country and all over the world (most of which I am still in touch with, and one who you all might possibly meet this year or next!) and it really made me think about (I don’t want to sound like a school counselor, college planner, or parent) my future and what I want my life to be like now and when I’m older.

Since I have OCICP (obsessive compulsive infinite campus perusing), my favorite website would have to be: https://infinitecampus.fayette.kyschools.us/campus/fayette.jsp

At least I wasn't cold...
