how to throw a frisbee
The joys of tossing a frisbee with some friends are much more enjoyable if you know what you're doing. The first thing to learn is how to grip the disc. Place your thumb about half an inch to an inch from the edge of the disc, and curl your remaining fingers under the rim. While most people will put their index finger on the rim of the disc, I recommend putting it under the rim with the other fingers, making a more fist like grip. This will help you get power into your throw. Next you're gonna need to work on the wrist snap. The idea is that you will create spin on the frisbee by flicking you're wrist. This will be the end of your whip-like arm motion. As you throw you will bring your arm across your body, with your elbow slightly bent, as you reach the end of your motion you will snap your elbow and wrist creating power and spin on the disc. Meanwhile you want to step out at about a 45 degree angle with your throwing hand foot across your body. You will want to bend your knees and extend them at the end of your throw to get power from your legs. You will also turn your hips as you bring your arm back and turn them in the direction of the throw as you are throwing to also create more power. The most important thing you have to remember when you are throwing your frisbee is to keep it flat or angled down as you release. This will stop your throw from turning over and falling short of its target. Good luck and have fun!
