Zombies!

It's not likely to happen, but if zombies ever came about, my plan would be nice and simple.

1. First off, let's assume that this infection is spreading far and wide, and fairly fast. I would find a form of transportation that's simple, effective, and can hold multiple people because, you know, strength in numbers and all that. As much as I would like to have a blimp or some air vehicle in this kind of situation, I'll be realistic here (as realistic as a zombie apocalypse can get) and say to settle for a bus, most likely a school bus.

2. After that's squared away, the most important thing is getting a hefty supply of weaponry. Any form of gun is a plus, and it's always helpful to have a versatile melee weapon. Anything short and blunt or long and sharp will do nicely. The Army Surplus store is a generic place to visit, but all in all not a bad place to at least check for supplies.

3. And finally, to complete this basic plan is: a destination! In a situation like this, it's very important to set goals and know where you're heading. Here are a few examples of places that would be a good for defending against the horde:
  • Anywhere incredibly cold where zombies could freeze (The Thing, anyone?)
  • Any somewhat remote island
  • Anywhere high in altitude, but with an escape route
So there you have it, a simple, yet relatively effective zombie survival guide. It's mostly an anything goes kind of situation, but as long as you don't board yourself up in a house with an infected in the basement, you should be fine!
