All's Fair in Love and Basketball

I am orange with black stripes. I’m an athlete’s best friend. I love the smell of sweaty practice uniforms and sneakers. I am forced to hit the ground hundred of thousands of times for at least two hours everyday. I am a basketball. I love the feeling of the net brushing against me as I swish through the goal. Soaring through the air gives me the greatest adrenaline rush in the world. However, I hate when people don’t know how to shoot and I end up smacking up against the rim or the backboard. I don’t think people realize how bad it hurts. I mean, I realize I just bounce off but still, it’s not fun. That’s why my least favorite shot is the bank shot, even though I don’t mind it so much when I just kind of slide across the glass into the basket. My dream is to be the game ball in an NBA game, I would love for Blake Griffin to dunk me.
