What does it take to really motivate a team and its fans beyond a pep talk, lively music, and cheers? A touchdown. A subsequent win is the icing on the cake. Last Friday night the announcer wished luck to our varsity football Blue Devils coming into the game with a record of 0 and 4, and to the Clark County Cardinals with a record of 2 and 1. A little boy asked me what I was doing with my fancy 40-foot tall camera behind the endzone. I told him that I was recording the game for the team. "So you can videotape the greatest game of the season for the number six-ranked Cards?" He boasted.
"No," I said. "So I can videotape a great game for the Blue Devils."
And I did.
Do you know what's more exciting than seeing this stillframe of the game that you now wish you were at? Seeing that same thing live five times.
And what a great picture to motivate us to go out and support the team for the homecoming game!
