Technology is the devil (No, I'm not amish)

While technology seems very convenient, it proves more often than not to be a hassle. In my humble opinion, technology seperates us. In an era of instant communication, when it's possible to talk to practically anyone in the world at any time (assuming that they have the proper technology; and come on, who doesn't have a facebook), we are left with the constant expectation that we should be in communication with other people who are not with us at the time.

This is negative for two reasons. The first is that it seperates us from the people who are with us. There are so many people who are texting fiends, sitting around all day clicking away at their phones and ignoring the people around them. This is tearing families apart, with kids ignoring their parents more than ever before.

Second, we feel sad if we aren't in communication, refreshing the facebook page over and over again or constantly checking our phone, hoping that someone will want to talk to us. And when no one does, it makes us feel depressed and unwanted. It's no surprise that suicide rates are going up (no you don't have to report me to the counselors because I mentioned suicide).

In summary, technology has damaged me. And it has damaged our society.

Done.
