I personally don’t believe in absolute good and evil because we are human. Humans make mistakes as well as have qualities like compassion and guilt.
Everyone makes mistakes whether it’s something small like taking the wrong lunch to maybe misinforming people. But these are things that accidentally happen and have no malicious intent. Although people do take actions in mean spirits, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re like that all the time. I think that if people tried hard enough, they could be a relatively good person. But to be a bad person would be quite hard since humans can have guilt or compassion. Guilt is a sign of accepting wrongdoing and no matter how severe the mistake may be, shows recognition and understanding of it. This can also be said about compassion because it’s the feeling of concern and showing some type of care that any human possesses. Therefore, even a somewhat “evil” person cannot purely be evil.
Just like before, humans make mistakes. But this can be subjective because a mistake or wrongdoing to one person can be considered to be okay for another. Even a good person will occasionally hurt someone without realizing it and to the person who got hurt, will be considered less than good. Once again, the wholesome good person is not possible.
Good vs Evil is a question where the two spectrums are so different that I can only give a murky or gray area answer. This makes it hard to explain things so I really can’t explain or justify my opinions that well.
