This was definitely a good thing, because it could have influenced other hotels to have indoor plumbing. Personally if, now, I went to a hotel and found out that it didn't have indoor plumbing I would probably not want to go. It seems like a good selling point, as well as a hygiene kind of deal. When you're going to stay with X amount of people you want to have access to a shower. I definitely appreciate this event. It also changed our expectations for what we want in a hotel when we travel now. We now expect hotels that we stay at to have things like indoor plumbing: a working shower and bathroom, and in some cases even a pool.
