2) Where do you find beauty in the world? Books, athletics, art, music, etc..?
3) Who would define as your role model? Why?
I think I'll answer prompt 2 since it's the most interesting out of the three. Beauty is a weird concept because it can be applied to anything and has different meanings to everyone. In the general sense, it relates to visual appeal. But in broader sense, it's an appeal to anything in our minds. I don't care if this sounds nerdy, but I've always found beauty in mathematics. The way numbers show relationships between seemingly opposite or unrelated things is amazing to me. Math can show me how rates relate to non-rates. Math can show me how to unravel and create a series or pattern. It can show me how life itself is organized down to a microscopic level. It can show me how our arteries divide into even fractals. It can show me how the proportions of a single living creature's body are the same for EVERY other living creature's body. It can show me how to craft art and music. It can show me how to construct anything from buildings to bombs to phones. Math is a systematic form of perfection that shows us incredible relationships between everything in the universe and has provided the basis for physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, business, art, athletics, music, and everything we encounter in our lives. Math is a system so profoundly complex, but simple that it's secrets have yet to be uncovered, but are infinitely explaining more about our universe and our lives. It is for these reasons that I have found math to be so absolutely beautiful since it is such a perfect system where nothing is random, everything has a reason, and everything can be shown with just a few simple numbers. No other concept in the world can make such claims. No other concept can flaunt this pure beauty.
