I chose my Bar Mitzvah as one of my biggest accomplishments because I put so much effort and time into it. I have pretty poor study habits, and the one and a half years of studying I invested studying Jewish morals, hebrew, and the world around me were pretty life changing, they helped me more with school then I think any specialized class or tutor could have. Most people only study for one year for their Bar Mitzvah but my house caught fire and I lost most everything I owned and had to be 'relocated' for a while-I got a little distracted from my studying. I am an awkward kid now, but before having to lead two services and read from the Torah in front of hundreds of people, I was much less of a people person. Most of my room's decor are gifts I received from family and friends.
