Blanket and Bear, Road Sign
Jealousy
My prized possessions have changed a lot over the year. When I was younger, I had this small blanket that had a bear having a tea party with some of its toy friends. Along with that, I had a caramel colored bear with a colorful jumpsuit. These were the items I couldn’t live without, day or night. I would sleep with them and take them on trips with me. They are what calmed me down. Now that I’m older, my appreciation for items have changed. Even though I still do love those old friends, I had to make room to have new items with a background story. The road sign above the closet in my room read “Lenna Dr.”, a road that still exists in Glasgow today. It was named after my great grandmother, Lenna, who was a state House of Representatives member in the 1950s. I look at that every day and am reminded of what she did, and I am constantly inspired to achieve the goals I have set along a similar path she took.
