“Sleep is such a luxury, which I can’t afford.” This quote by Robin Sikarwar is quite relatable to me as I don’t get much sleep. In fact, most nights I’m lucky to get four hours of sleep. This problem stems somewhat from homework, but mostly from insomnia. I swear, insomnia is going to be the ruination of me. Due to my constant lack of rest, my mental abilities are not at their peak level most days. So instead of being completely focused and able to soak in all the knowledge being instructed easily, I now find myself either sleeping in class or lacking complete focus. Besides taking a toll on my brain function, my insomnia has also contributed to my physical illnesses. Just this school year alone, I have had a cold three times. This is quite remarkable to me because when I used to get adequate sleep, I could go through an entire year without one illness.
