1. Todays political culture is petty and low brow. Congress has one of the lowest approval ratings ever due to the petty bickering about unimportant things while the country desperately needs economic help. I think the parties have gotten out of control and everything is about getting re-elected rather than doing their jobs as elected officials and serving the country. I think this is making people very distrustful of he U.S. government and the system in which it runs. If the parties were more willing to do something the opponents want done in order to actually help the country, the government would be much more successful, and people would have more respect for government
