Adventure.... right.

1. Why do you think that some people strive to be the best that they can while others are content with living a normal life?

2. Why do so many people who can't play sports like to watch them, and why so fanatically?

3. Is the fact that a lot of other people don't swoon towards a particular interest a legitimate reason to think better of it?

I thought I'd answer the 3rd question, because I have constant arguments with my friends over what "hipsters" are. A hipster is someone who does certain things because they think not many other people do those things. They are the people who have pretentious beards and listen to indie music on their vintage mp3 players. Many people see this as a problem, because they think that these people don't actually like the things that they claim to. I have to disagree. I look for any reason to like something, whether it be actual properties of the interest or just the "vibe" that I get from it. Because of this, liking a certain restaurant because other people aren't overcrowding it or because you find fans of some bands annoying is a perfectly good reason to like either one. I certainly don't think it's as important as actual aspects of an interest, but I think that it's an ok reason to think something is a little bit better.
